Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information BeingRanker ("we", "us") collects when you use https://beingranker.com and buy a study kit, and how we use it.

What we collect

• Your Google account details: when you log in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We never see your Google password.
• Mobile number that you enter at checkout, saved to your account for future purchases.
• Order details: which kit you bought, the amount, the payment status and the date.
• Reading records: the time, IP address and browser or device each time you open a file in the reader. We use them to stop accounts being shared and to help you if something does not open.
• Reading progress and bookmarks, so you can continue where you left off on any device.
• Your notes that you write in the reader. They are private: only you can see them.
• PDFs you upload to read in the reader, with the name you give them. They are stored privately and only you can open them. We do not look at them unless we receive a complaint about a file or you ask us for help.
• Study time: how many minutes you read each day, finished focus-timer sessions, glasses of water you log and your daily goal, to show your streak and weekly chart.
• Mock tests: your answers, score and time for each mock test you take, and a short form of your name (first name and last initial) used for ranks. Mistakes you report in a question, with your note.
• The exams you choose under "My exams", to show their tests and kits first.
• Reviews you write for a kit: your rating, text, short name and city, which are shown publicly on the kit page.
• Help requests: the name, email, phone number and message you send us.
• "Notify me" requests: your email, when you ask to be told when a kit is ready. We use it only to tell you about that kit.
• Where you came from: the label of the link that first brought you to the site (for example a WhatsApp group or Telegram post link, or "google"), saved with your account and orders so we can see which posts are useful. It is not shared with anyone.
• Basic technical data such as your IP address, kept for a short time to prevent abuse (for example, too many login attempts).

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Your card, UPI, net banking or wallet details are entered in Razorpay's secure payment window and are never stored by us. We only receive a payment id and the payment status. Razorpay's own privacy policy applies to the details you give them.

How we use your information

• To keep you logged in and show your kits in My kits. A secure login cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
• To answer your support requests.
• To keep records required by law (for example, tax records).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing emails or WhatsApp messages. We only email you when you write to us for support, or when a kit you asked to be notified about is ready.

Who we share it with

Only with service providers needed to run the store: Razorpay (payments) and Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage and email, in the Mumbai region) and Google (sign-in). We may share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for 8 years, as required for accounting and tax purposes. Detailed reading records are deleted automatically after 6 months; the time and IP address of your latest visit stay with your account. Reading progress, bookmarks, notes and your uploaded PDFs are kept while you have an account, until you delete them. Daily study time is deleted automatically after about 5 months. Abuse-prevention data is deleted automatically within a day.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete your personal information by writing to support@beingranker.com. We may need to keep order records that the law requires.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: a secure login cookie that keeps you signed in after you log in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising or third-party analytics. Your browser's local storage keeps a few settings on your device (such as reading theme, timer and reminder choices) and, for 30 days, the label of the link that brought you; that label is sent to us only when you log in. Fonts are served from our own site, so no font service sees your visit.
